entering into coaching with me will bring an entirely fresh perspective into your life
Most of who we became was decided early, before we had any real choice in the matter. As children, we learn to cue off our parents, our siblings, our teachers, and the world around us. By the time we reach adulthood, that early cueing has hardened into a pattern of looking outward for the source of the problem, and the source of the solution. This strategy is not a flaw, it's simply what childhood requires. Many of our current struggles are due to an outdated way of interacting with our lives. As adults we have more options available to us.
Coaching with me is where that pattern gets seen clearly, using the Enneagram not as a personality label but as a precise map of the strategy you build to survive. Seeing the pattern is very helpful, however it is not enough for transformation. Our bodies are integral to the understanding necessary for a metamorphosis that takes us beyond “ideas” or intellectual understanding of ourselves. In sessions we work directly with the mind and the body to bring them into a potentially new way of understanding.
None of it works without self-compassion. The path toward your true Self isn't lined with rainbows; there's bleak, unsatisfying, even frightening terrain along the way, and most of us carry unconscious defenses and a harsh inner critic that make that terrain harder to be with than it needs to be. My work is to walk that terrain with you — steadily, without judgment — so that what's difficult can actually become a portal instead of an obstacle.
This isn't about escaping into some better, more resolved version of your life waiting elsewhere. It's about learning to meet the life you're already living — all of it — as the dream it actually is.
With love, Nicole
What Working Together Actually Looks Like
We start with the map. Before our first real session, you'll take the iEQ9 assessment, and we'll go over your results together — not as a description of WHO you are, but as a starting point for understanding the specific strategy of your personality, how it shapes your perspective, and what it is designed to protect you from experiencing.
From there, we work with what's actually happening in your life right now. Rather than staying in theory, we connect your Enneagram pattern to whatever is alive for you in the moment whether it’s a conflict at work, a loop in a relationship, an uncomfortable situation, or a decision you're stuck on. This is where the pattern stops being an idea and starts being something we can actually work with.
We slow down enough to notice the body. As we talk, I'll invite you to connect with what's happening physically in your body; the tightness in your chest or throat, the butterflies wriggling in your stomach, or the pressure in your temples. We pay attention to the places where the story is also being held as sensation in the body (this is KEY). Sometimes I will teach yogic techniques like breath work, or introduce somatic techniques in session, so you can expand your toolbox for nervous system support.
I ask questions built to open things up, not close them down. You'll get questions designed to help you find your own next layer of insight — because the understanding that actually changes something is the kind you arrive at yourself.
I listen for what's underneath the story. As you talk, I'm tracking the emotions that are present, even when they’re not being named directly . I reflect it back so you can assess what is really present for you and meet it more directly than you might on your own.
The space itself is part of the work. Whatever comes up in our session gets to be there without judgment. Your defenses, your protections, and the parts of you that have been managing things for a long time are met with respect, not as obstacles to push past, but as strategies that made sense once and deserve to be understood before they're asked to loosen.
You'll also build a real skill: Self-Compassion. The quality of compassion we develop together moves beyond the concept, and becomes a lived practice. Instead of insights becoming more ways to judge and criticize yourself, you learn a way of relating to your inner experience with a deep respect and love.
We build something for you to carry outside our sessions. What happens between our conversations matters as much as what happens in them, so together we shape a personal practice suited to you — for some, that's the beginning of a meditation practice; for others, it's specific tools to help the nervous system actually relax. Either way, the goal is a connection to yourself that doesn't depend on being in the room with me.
And you'll leave with more than one way to see things. Alongside all of this, I'll offer Enneagram-informed reframes — other ways of thinking about a situation you've been stuck in — so you have more than your habitual lens to work from. In addition, I share from my extensive study and practice of Yogic philosophy and psychological theories and insights.
Little by little, thoughts, behavior, sensations, and curiosity start to move together instead of staying separate. That's where real change tends to happen; not in a single insight, but in the steady practice of meeting yourself with openness instead of judgment, session after session.
who this is for
This is likely a fit if:
You've already done real work on yourself — therapy, reading, meditation — and you're still asking why insight alone hasn't been enough
You're new to the Enneagram and want to learn it properly, as a map of your actual patterns, not a personality quiz
You sense there's a version of yourself underneath your habitual reactions, and you're genuinely ready to go looking for her
You want both the understanding and the felt, embodied shift — not just one or the other
You're willing to look at your defenses with curiosity instead of only trying to get rid of them
You want a practice, not just a series of conversations — something you're building that continues after our sessions end
This probably isn't the right fit if:
You're in an acute mental health crisis or need clinical support — coaching is not a substitute for therapy
You're looking for quick fixes or a set of techniques without wanting to look at what's underneath them
You're not yet willing to consider that the pattern might be coming from inside rather than from your circumstances
